"Up until recently, I was one of those people who pretty much waited for life to happen."
So true of me too. Thank you Lindsey, for that stab to the heart. Painful, but I needed it. Here's to going out and making life happen.

@Cindy, It is so interesting to watch friends come and go as our needs change. God is totally writing characters as we need them.

@Carol Anne, I have found it is so important to find people who get you - regardless of where you are physically or spiritually.

I'm thankful for friends who remind me to laugh, slow down to enjoy life, and try new things. Left to my own devices I would stay in my comfort zone, work myself to death and miss out on so many things. God knows just what I need in the friendship department (even when I think otherwise)!

I am so thankful for my two best friends who both push me to better and support me in my choices. They are not afraid to criticize me when I am acting less than stellar, and they constantly push me to be a better person and to live out my faith. In addition, they are incredibly supportive of me in all that I do. (In fact, they also remind me of how great they are because they think I have high standards for my friends, and they accuse me of being a bit too critical if they don't meet those standards. And they are right that I sometimes get frustrated if they can't meet my expectations, which is a fault of mine.) But I feel so blessed for these friends because I know that some people really have no idea what it means to have a true friend.

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
