Well I am going to be out of the box and give several things--which is unlike me because my friends often joke that I am not grateful! I am so grateful and feel blessed for my relationship with and knowledge of Christ. I am also incredibly grateful for having found a church within which to worship after struggling and wandering for so many years after I came to know God. And I am grateful for my two closest Christian friends who don't attend church (they put up with so much from me, and I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that they would help me in any crisis) as well as for my close friends at church. All these people encourage me to grow in my faith and to use my gifts for the benefit of others.

I'm thankful for my local church, Stonecreek in Milton, GA. I'm blessed to be a part of the staff team as well. The leadership is authentic, compassionate, accepting and truly lives out the vision of Stonecreek - Leading people to pursue life in Jesus as their greatest passion.

But I'm also thankful for the Cross Point community and the ability to connect with it's leadership online. God has used the various blogs, comments and such to speak to me more than a few times. It's an inspirational group for sure (and we can't have too much inspiration can we?).

If God ever leads me to leave the ATL, I hope he sends me to the Nashville/Franklin area. It sounds divine!

Yesterday our pastor challenged us to write down the things we're thankful for. One of mine that I wrote was: "Authentic friendships that provide accountability, support, and laughter."

I am thankful for lessons learned in the wilderness. For being held by Jesus when I was sinking. For peace in the midst of heartache. For God's redeeming of every Bible Study I'd ever taught or attended and for every verse I'd memorized. For never, ever, ever being alone because I have Him. For being able to once again see the sun :o) For the life-saving gift of Hope...always.

Thanks for your post, Lindsey! If you're interested, check out my latest blog post, With Thanksgiving, at www.vickeybanks.blogspot.com
