I Wish I Could Say…

…that this year is off to a slow start.

But, well that is just not the case. I can’t believe how much has already happened in 2010. And get this…it is only January 13.

Here’s a quick peak into my last few weeks:

  • We introduced a new social media hub for Thomas Nelson. The goal is that this will be a one stop shop for people to get connected with our people. You can keep up to date on Thomas Nelson bloggers, twitterers, our latest YouTube videos, and much more. Go check it out.
  • We put the finishing touches on the “Cultivate Her” blog. With bi-weekly posts from an incredible team of women (like me ;)), this blog is sure to be a wonderful resource for women in leadership. And aren’t we all really in leadership somehow…at home, at work, or at church?
  • We relaunched our “Thomas Nelson Book Review Bloggers” site under the Seth-Godin-inspired name “BookSneeze.” The program gives bloggers books for FREE in exchange for an honest review. Say what you want about the images it conjures, but I can promise you this, you won’t forget it!

Whew…I am exhausted just thinking about all that.

How is your 2010? Off to a hectic start?

You have been busy! If you keep this up all year you'll be nothing but a frazzled shell by December! ;)

Not as crazy as yours thats for sure. I am learning a lot about what I want to do and reality. I did just get to talk with your pastor, pete wilson and am inspired by some of the stuff we were talking about, so that is a highlight of the early year.

I am loving the cultivate her site, wish I was in on that (but for obvious reasons cannot be). Maybe we should have a cultivate him site?

Loving all the stuff at Thomas Nelson…you all are leading the way and glad to see that. Keep up the good work.

@kylelreed Pete Wilson (and his wife Brandi and really the entire CP staff) is the real deal. So blessed to have found Cross Point.

So far the first couple of weeks of 2010 have flown by, but I don't feel like I've accomplished much of what I planned to. I really feel the need to get organized but haven't found the opportunity to do so. Playing "catch up" is not my favorite way to start a new year. So, new goal – be organized by the end of January and enter February ready to accomplish something worthwhile. (Hint: I should probably work on time management and self control!)

Lindsey, I have to say I don't love the new blogger reviewer group name. I'm sure it will grow on me, though! (And now that I think about it, it will be fun to share it with my readers when I FINALLY get through The Hole in Our Gospel and review it!!)

Are you still going to attend Blissdom? If so, I'd love to meet up with you and chat!

Still going to Blissdom…I can't wait. It will be my first blog conference so I am a little nervous. (What if I don't fit in? What if everyone else's blog is better than mine?)

We definitely need to hang out. I might need a little hand-holding.

Oh, and I hope BookSneeze grows on you…like a disease. ;)

I'm exhausted just reading your thirteen days worth of stuff…
I need a rewind… I am way behind already this year on all of my projects. Blech. Great site.

Seems like you have been really busy. I think my 2009 is blurring with my 2010, but it is all good. I am the most rested going into a new year – that counts for something I think these days. :)

love the new booksneeze site. so glad i signed up to be a book review blogger last spring. my 2010 is off to a very unmotivated start for me. being sick the first week of the year threw my plans off.

It has actually been a fairly quiet beginning to the new year in some ways. Being offline as much has really freed up a lot of time. I guess I didn't really know how much time I was spending twittering, facebooking, blogging, etc. Trying to understand now how to participate in all of those things but set healthy boundaries on them so that it is not at the expense of everything else in my life. Hope things calm down for you soon!
