Today is the day.

Today is the day we all have been waiting for, or at least the day I have been waiting for.

Today is the official release date for my pastor and Thomas Nelson author Pete Wilson’s debut book Plan B.

Have you ever had a shattered dream? An unmet expectation? A failed plan?

Does it feel like life is full of disappointment?

If so, you need this book.

If not, you still need this book. (Because unfortunately sooner or later, I’m pretty sure that you will be knocked down, feeling hopeless, and desperate for understanding.)

Plan B is a life-changing reminder that God does his best work in hopeless situations.

Buy Plan B on Amazon here.

I promise, you won’t regret it.

What shattered dream are you battling right now?

  • Very good book. Plan B definitely exceeded my expectations.

  • Love this book. I've been reading a lot of books about depression and surviving a personal crisis, and Plan B is the best I've read. I've already recommended it to friends and to my pastor.

  • What a timely book! I've been waiting and waiting for this book to be released on Kindle and it should finally download tomorrow. I've read a few reviews and I'm so excited to read it, especially as a possible small group study for my group leaders. I'm really looking forward to Plan B.

  • Loved this book (shocker). I could give a laundry list of Plan Bs that I'm in the midst of/frustrated with/trying to figure out. Then I see the pictures/videos of the flooding in Nashville and am reminded, yet again, that nothing I'm dealing with is quite as bad as I make it out to be.

  • Great promo video! Unlike some of the other commenters, I have not yet read the book so I can't say that I loved it however, I would love to read it.

As I consider your question at the end of the post, Lindsey, I realize that for me, it's not so much that I'm battling shattered dreams but rather that I am battling unpursued dreams. Dreams that were superseded either by fears of failure or feeling obligated to instead pursue the expectations of others. In realizing this, I've determined to pursue the abundant life that Christ desires for me to enjoy (my Plan B, His plan A).

I purpose to evaluate my dreams in light of God's word, ask God to search my heart and weigh the motivation behind my dreams, ask for wisdom and discernment in determining what next steps I should take, seek the counsel of others whom I respect, and to step out in faith and obedience to the calling that God has on my life (including the passions and desires He has placed within my heart) and submit the results (whether success or failure) to Him.

  • Oh Great! I have been wondering when this would be released. This is must read, because I feel like I am not just on Plan B but Plan C and Plan D in certain areas of life! Also, on an unrelated note, I hope that you are safe and sound with all the flooding in Nashville.

  • Dustin

Loved the book. Thanks for sharing the video!

  • First off, glad to hear everyone in the Nashville/Franklin area is safe. I have several friends and family in the area and everyone is O.K. We are praying for you all.

As for Plan B… wow! What an amazing book. This is one I will read again and again. Very well written and an easy read. This book is going to help me through a lot. Thank you Pete for writing this and Thomas Nelson for publishing.

Do you know if Plan B will be available for the Nook anytime soon?

  • Yep. I couldn't agree more. Thumbs up on Plan B. 🙂

  • Thanks Lindsey. Your support has meant the world to me.

  • So many shattered dreams…so many expectations for myself I haven't lived up to. Expectations of others, of my life. I really need to read Plan B. I've been looking forward to its coming out. I am a little afraid to read it. I think it will lead to some painful processing, but probably also some necessary healing in my continued pursuit of wholeness.

  • you know my big shattered dream(s). in the midst of those, i also seem to face a myriad of smaller ones almost daily. lots of surrender going on — or needing to go on.

learning to trust that His plan B is what's best for me…
