Be Still

I can’t stop listening to this new song by The Fray. It’s a timely wonderful reminder that for this season I need to just be still and know. Be still and know that He’s with me. Be still and know He is.

“Be Still”

Be still and know that I’m with you

Be still and know that I am here

Be still and know that I’m with you

Be still, be still, and know

When darkness comes upon you

And covers you with fear and shame

Be still and know that I’m with you

And I will say your name

If terror falls upon your bed

And sleep no longer comes

Remember all the words I said

Be still, be still, and know

And when you go through the valley

And the shadow comes down from the hill

If morning never comes to be

Be still, be still, be still

If you forget the way to go

And lose where you came from

If no one is standing beside you

Be still and know I am

Be still and know that I’m with you

Be still and know I am

What are you listening to these days? Please share. I sure do need some new music.

Lindsey has a sincere love for her precious dogs Molly and Maisy, a good red wine and the Delta Sky Club.

  • Hadn’t heard that song yet.  Love it.  Man, I hate being still most of the time!  I feel the need to keep things going rather than rest most of the time.  Good reminder.

I’m currently falling in love with Alabama Shakes.  Someone sent me a link to a video several weeks ago.  Now I’ve been hearing them a little on the radio and they were on Conan the other night.  I think you can preorder their CD now, but I just absolute love the sound!  Here you go:

  • I lost my mentor to cancer on Halloween/All Saints Day last fall. Her favorite verse was Psalm 46:10. This song is incredibly moving for me. I just stumbled upon Kina Grannis today via a friend’s recommendation. Her Living Room Sessions are fantastic! Love your blog!
