Get Your Own Stylist For $20

Yes. This post might seem a little off brand. Yes. I still have a heart for justice. Yes. I still work for a NGO. But no, that doesn’t mean I don’t like to indulge every once in awhile and what I’m about to share with you is the best indulgence I have found in a long time.

Friends, meet Stitch Fix.

Stitch Fix is What Not To Wear meets E-Harmony meets Amazon.Com. And it might just be the best thing for busy women since sliced bread.

Here’s how it works.

STEP 1. Request An Invite. {Stitch Fix is still in Beta so you might have to wait a couple of weeks to get to STEP 2.}

STEP 2. Fill out your Style Profile. Answer questions about your height, weight, attire, brand, color and pricing preferences. Rate some outfits to give the Stitch Fix stylist a better sense of what looks you like. You can even specify things you do not need. {For example, I’m pretty well-stocked in jeans, skirts and pants so at least for the time being I requested no bottoms.}

STEP 3. Schedule a fix. {Each fix costs $20 but if you purchase anything in the box the $20 goes toward purchases. Don’t worry Stitch Fix covers all the shipping.}

STEP 4. Come home every day expectant for a box full of goodies that looks like this.

STEP 5. Try on the clothes and accessories that your stylist picked out for you. Try on everything. Even if it is a little out of your comfort zone because that is what a stylist is for. Here are the items in my first box.

I love that each item is tagged with outfit ideas.

Yep. I have already worn this one.

STEP 6. Choose what you will keep and what you will send back. {Warning: I thought I would want to keep one or two things but I LOVED it all.}

STEP 7: Give detailed feedback to Stitch Fix so that next time you get  Fix, your stylist will be able to learn from her successes and her mistakes.

Stitch Fix… it’s your own personal stylist for just $20! Go right now and request an invite. It’s such a fun way to infuse life into your wardrobe.
