on singleness…

I am a pretty terrible blogger these days. And when I do write, it’s typically about the work I get to do around the world, or on my faith, or the Church. But I have strayed away from the tension-filled posts on living out a season I never dreamed for myself.

But when your friends ask you to join a series that they are doing on relationships, sometimes you surprise yourself and say “yes.” Below is a post I wrote for Trisha and Justin Davis over at RefineUs. It’s not eloquent, but it’s honest.

Am I content with being single?

That’s probably a stretch. Probably the right word to describe my feelings on singleness is conflicted. That’s right, I am conflicted about being single.
