Message Received. Loud and Clear

At the end of last week I was grouchy. Seriously GROUCHY. As I said here, I was feeling overwhelmed and just a little sick of it all.

But then this weekend, I got a gift this amazing series of gifts from God. This weekend He blessed me big time.

EVERY EXPERIENCE I had left me energized, renewed, and reconnected.

It was glorious. Absolutely GLORIOUS.

glo·ri·ous

1 a : possessing or deserving glory : illustrious b : entitling one to glory <a glorious victory>
2 : marked by great beauty or splendor : magnificent <a glorious sunset>
3 : delightful, wonderful <had a glorious weekend>

It’s as if He wanted me to know, to understand, to fully embrace, how much I am loved. He wanted me to know how much I am loved by others. And more importantly, He wanted me to know how much I am loved by Him.

His message to me was received. Loud and clear. I absolutely love it when He skips subtlety and goes the obvious route.

“For I have every confidence that nothing – not death, life, heavenly messengers, dark spirits, the present, the future, spiritual powers, height, depth, nor any created thing – can disconnect us from the love of God that came to us in Jesus, our Lord and Liberating King.” Romans 8:28- 29 (The Voice)

Has He reminded lately that you are loved?

It was a ton of small things really…Quality time. Quality hugs. Quality food. Quality worship. Quality weather.

Glad you are feeling it too!

thank you for this post! AM super encouraged and blessed by reading it! I love quality hugs and time spent with others as well! They (the hugs) don't happen much so it makes me appreciate them more when hugs do come by.
Abba has reminded me lately by allowing my heart to be open and loving on little girls I babysit for. Don't think I will EVER get over how much grace and love He showers us with. Get tears in my eyes now when thinking about this. Even in the midst of challenging or sad times, Abba gently reminds me He's ALL I need and only He can satisfy me. It's in times like those that I'm reminded of His love for me.

Most certainly He has reminded me that I am loved. Lots and lots of little ways every day – from family, friends, beautiful, sunny weekends that promise Spring is on the way, but the one thing that stands out from last week is that the God who created the universe loves me enough to teach me the same lesson over and over again because it's for my good. Not only that, but He chooses to teach me in the style that fits the way I learn best. That tells me two things. He REALLY knows me and I matter to Him.

Here's to loving and being well loved! Have a wonderful week!

"His message to me was received. Loud and clear. I absolutely love it when He skips subtlety and goes the obvious route."

I am convinced there is no pleasure anywhere created by man that can even hold a candle to when God stops being subtle in showing his love to us.

I can't figure out if this weekend was really that extraordinary or if He just has been working on opening my eyes.

For me it's been a process, but there were some very clear indicators this past weekend where the process made sense and I "got it" more than I had before. I love those moments… they help fuel the moments when I struggle to "get it."

The greatest part about your weekend is that, despite feeling grouchy and overwhelmed, you clearly felt God's presence and His love. So often when we are pressed on everyside we cannot find the end of that rope to get reconnected. Awesome testimony of God working in you life – thanks!

A lot of time God reminds me that I'm love through the gracious response of my husband when I'm grouchy. :)

Thanks for the reminder that God doesn't abandon us when we don't feel His presence, and that He is faithful to demonstrate His love.

God is so faithful to continually remind us of the things we know, but often forget.
